Thank you for the help, and the chance to write where others can see it. I have no idea how you actually make money from running WordPress, but with all the features, you deserve a bundle. Cheers.

    Simple and concise. Thanks

    Hi
    Great Idea WordPress T.V.,

Are there any plugins like ‘ping-o-matic’ only for socal web sites, Technorati, Delicious and the like that lets you up date your blog to all.

    • Michael Pick Says:

I’m not sure if there’s a mass publishing plugin – but worth a look in the plugins directory (this link leads to a search for social media plugins which seems to have some interesting options)

  4. popwireless Says:

I did this but the “title didn’t show up in the header for my theme. Rats. Perhaps the title is too long or there is a “theme-based” problem.

    • Michael Pick Says:

Hi popwireless – it sounds like it might not be fully supported in the theme you’re using (as you say)

  5. Bill Says:

Too funny you say how to RSS link with a screen that is not identified –need to show the whole page for reference

    • Michael Pick Says:

Hi Bill – thanks for the feedback, but I’m not sure I understand. The RSS link is just an example, as might be found on most blogs, but in different locations. Do you mean you’d have liked to see the title of the blog first before the copying of the link? The focus was really on the generic act of copying the feed rather than the contents of the blog, but if it can be improved with further context I’m certainly open to a future revision.

  6. Kenneth Says:

At the end of the video Michael says that to find out more about RSS, we need to see the video titled “WordPress Element”. Where can we find that video? I tied searching but couldn’t find.
    Thank you

    • Michael Pick Says:

Sorry for the confusion, Kenneth – there was a slight delay with the WordPress Elements videos, which are coming soon. In the meantime, for the lowdown on what RSS is and does, check out the awesome RSS in Plain English video by Common Craft (linked)

  9. pravin vaz Says:

hi michael.. i have added the rss feeds in the sidebar..but nothing shows up on my blog… any help here ?

    • Ryan Markel Says:

If you’re using a blog that’s hosted on WordPress.com (your blog is blogname.wordpress.com), please check out the support page here, which goes through the process, and make sure you have everything entered correctly. If you have, and it’s still not working, you may want to file a Support request so we can help you better.

If you’re running the WordPress software on your own self-hosted blog, the best place for you to ask for help is on the WordPress.org support forums.

i went through the link which u have directed up – rss in plain english…

does that mean for wordpress as well we need a software like google reader ?

    pls help

    • Ryan Markel Says:

To read RSS feeds well, you’ll need to have a program or application act as a feedreader, and an example of a good one is (as you mention) Google Reader.

  11. Vanity of Vanities! Says:

Is there an option to have it pull several RSS feeds and integrate the results together? I know Blogger users can do this, but all I can find on WordPress is the option to have a several separate RSS widgets, one for each site I want to pull from.

    • Ryan Markel Says:

No; the RSS widget is designed to pull in a single feed only.

  12. Vanity of Vanities! Says:

So… can we put in a request for an awesome widget like Blogger has? :)

  13. health blog Says:

I like the plugin but it does not link to the posts.. it only brings the text !
