This is exciting – I am looking forward to using the new 2010 theme. These are great updates – love the fact that I can change header images, and/or backgrounds for individual pages and posts.
Integrated Word Press MU, 2-10 Theme with Custom Menus and Custom Post types, this release is the bomb.
I have the beta up on 50 or so sites without to many issues, most due to plug in compatibility, now that it has been released I hope the plug in issues will go away.
i’m currently using theme with some features present in 3.0 with own ‘custom-menu’, I also use 3rd party newsletter and lightbox-based NextGen Gallery (I’ve seen something about those features in 3.0). I think I should wailt with upgrade till authors of theme/plugins confirm compatibility with 3.0- right?
Wish there was an easier way to “manage lots of sites from one installation” using integrated WordPress + MU. Looking at your Codex instructions I fear I’d need to employ a techie to perform this change.
WOW looks awesome so updated a site of mine to “get a taste” of it. I created a sub domain blog – x.x.com with the mu feature and all went smooth. I will be updating all my sites soon! Thanks =)
I am frustrated with the new updating to 3.0 because I can’t visit the site to see my changes without having to go to a post and click on view. I liked being able to make changes and then click on visit site to see what the changes look like. I wonder if this is something that WordPress is working on! I hope they fix it, because it’s frustrating for me and an extra step.
In WordPress 3.0 (and the post-3.0 WordPress.com), instead of the Visit Site button, you now click on the title of your blog at the top of the Dashboard to visit it.

So, how do we do that whole ‘manage lots of sites from one installation’ thing? I don’t see any option for that anywhere.

You can learn more about this by visiting the Codex page on Multisite here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network

The slider used here was developed for WordPress.tv, but you can find others like it if you search the WordPress plugins directory.
