<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:05.000" end="00:00:08.000">Hi; this is Amit from Digital Inspiration.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:08.000" end="00:00:11.000">In this tutorial, I will show you how you can move a blog</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:11.000" end="00:00:14.000">from blogspot.com to your own domain using WordPress software,</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:14.000" end="00:00:17.000">without losing any of your blog readers, your RSS subscribers,</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:17.000" end="00:00:20.000">or any of your search rankings.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:20.000" end="00:00:23.000">This whole thing should take about two to three minutes.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:23.000" end="00:00:26.000">So this is my Blogger blog.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:26.000" end="00:00:29.000">It has three posts about presidents of America, nothing much.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:29.000" end="00:00:32.000">And this is my WordPress blog; it's hosted on my own domain.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:32.000" end="00:00:35.000">And it has just a "Hello World" post; nothing much.</media:text>

<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:35.000" end="00:00:38.000">And we have to import everything from Blogger into this WordPress site.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:38.000" end="00:00:41.000">So let's see how we can do it.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:41.000" end="00:00:44.000">I'll open my WordPress dashboard;</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:44.000" end="00:00:47.000">from there, I'll go to Tools > Import, and selected Blogger from this.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:47.000" end="00:00:50.000">Now, in the next step, I'll need to authorize WordPress</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:50.000" end="00:00:53.000">so that it can use my Google Account data.</media:text>

<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:53.000" end="00:00:56.000">I just use the Authorize button, and then on the next screen, I'll say "Grant access".</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:56.000" end="00:00:59.000">Now, WordPress will show me a list of all blogs</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:59.000" end="00:01:02.000">that are associated with my Google Account.</media:text>

<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:02.000" end="00:01:05.000">I select the one that I want to import into WordPress, and say "Import".</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:05.000" end="00:01:08.000">After the importing is done,</media:text>

<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:08.000" end="00:01:11.000">I just need to select the author with whom the posts will be associated.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:11.000" end="00:01:14.000">I'll just use the default and say "Save Changes".</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:16.000" end="00:01:20.000">Now that all of the posts are imported into WordPress,</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:20.000" end="00:01:23.000">let's see how they look on the blog.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:23.000" end="00:01:26.000">Next, we need to upload a file</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:26.000" end="00:01:29.000">to our WordPress templates directory.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:29.000" end="00:01:32.000">Now, you may use FTP or puTTY or anything else,</media:text>

<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:32.000" end="00:01:35.000">so switch to the directory that hosts your WordPress template files,</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:35.000" end="00:01:38.000">and just upload this file. It's a very simple process.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:38.000" end="00:01:41.000">Next, we need to rename this file from blogger.php.txt</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:41.000" end="00:01:44.000">to simply blogger.php.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:44.000" end="00:01:47.000">Now, go to your WordPress dashboard again,</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:47.000" end="00:01:50.000">and click Pages > Add New to create a new page.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:50.000" end="00:01:53.000">Let's call this page "Blogger".</media:text>

<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:53.000" end="00:01:56.000">Base this page on the template "Blogger", which you just uploaded</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:56.000" end="00:01:59.000">to your WordPress templates directory.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:03.000" end="00:02:07.000">Next, open your Blogger dashboard and go to "Edit HTML".</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:07.000" end="00:02:10.000">Then, scroll down and you'll see a link that says</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:10.000" end="00:02:13.000">"Revert to Classic Template". Just click that.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:13.000" end="00:02:16.000">Now, open the Classic template generator, and type the address</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:16.000" end="00:02:19.000">of your WordPress site. Make sure you type</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:19.000" end="00:02:22.000">the full address, including the http:// and the trailing slash.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:22.000" end="00:02:25.000">Click "Submit", and this will generate a Classic template for you.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:25.000" end="00:02:28.000">Just copy the entire thing,</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:28.000" end="00:02:31.000">and paste it into your template area.</media:text>

 <media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:31.000" end="00:02:34.000">Then, save the changes.</media:text>
