			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:12.000" end="00:00:15.000">you&#039;ll notice that everything now looks and feels </media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:15.000" end="00:00:18.000">like the rest of the updated WordPress interface.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:18.000" end="00:00:21.000">That means the space you have can be used more effectively,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:21.000" end="00:00:24.000">and it&#039;s easier to tailor it to your needs.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:24.000" end="00:00:27.000">However many sidebars you have, you&#039;ll now see that they&#039;re all stacked up</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:27.000" end="00:00:30.000">over here on the right, and you can open and close them down</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:30.000" end="00:00:33.000">to free up space as you need it.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:33.000" end="00:00:36.000">The same goes for the windows over on the left here also, which will also resize</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:36.000" end="00:00:39.000">according to the size of your browser window.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:39.000" end="00:00:42.000">One of the things you asked for was the ability to save</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:42.000" end="00:00:45.000">the details of your widgets even when you change themes,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:45.000" end="00:00:48.000">and now you can, thanks to the Inactive Widgets pane just down here.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:48.000" end="00:00:51.000">If you change to a theme with its own default set of widgets</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:51.000" end="00:00:54.000">or a different layout, your previous selections</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:54.000" end="00:00:57.000">will all be stored down here in the Inactive Widgets panel.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:57.000" end="00:01:00.000">You can also use the panel to save</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:00.000" end="00:01:03.000">items you might want to temporarily save for later use.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:03.000" end="00:01:06.000">Also, if you decide you&#039;d like to set up a widget</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:06.000" end="00:01:09.000">but not activate it right away,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:09.000" end="00:01:12.000">you can drag it directly down to the Inactive Widgets pane,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:12.000" end="00:01:15.000">and start adding your details. That means that later on,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:15.000" end="00:01:18.000">when you decide that you do want to use it,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:18.000" end="00:01:21.000">you can drag it straight into your sidebar, and it&#039;ll be ready to go.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:21.000" end="00:01:24.000">So if I wanted to set up a Pages widget, but didn&#039;t quite have the pages ready,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:24.000" end="00:01:27.000">I could come back some time later,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:27.000" end="00:01:30.000">and then drag them up to the sidebar,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:30.000" end="00:01:33.000">and all of the details are there—ready to go.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:33.000" end="00:01:36.000">Of course, I can also drag widgets across</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:36.000" end="00:01:39.000">from one sidebar to another.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:39.000" end="00:01:42.000">All of the changes remain intact.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:42.000" end="00:01:45.000">Saving of the layout has now been completely automated,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:45.000" end="00:01:48.000">so as long as I save a particular widget&#039;s details,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:48.000" end="00:01:51.000">I don&#039;t need to make any more saves. And as it&#039;s possible</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:51.000" end="00:01:54.000">to use multiple instances of the same widget, I can now see my own title</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:54.000" end="00:01:57.000">next to the title of the widget type.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:57.000" end="00:02:00.000">So that&#039;s the new-look widget system for WordPress.com:</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:00.000" end="00:02:03.000">making it even easier to manage the content of your sidebars.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:09.000" end="00:00:12.000">and purchase the VideoPress upgrade if you don&#039;t have that already.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:12.000" end="00:00:15.000">You can use PayPal, or you can also use your credit card via PayPal to do this.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:15.000" end="00:00:18.000">Optionally, you can top up some extra space if you need to.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:18.000" end="00:00:21.000">So now, when I write a post, I click on this video icon,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:21.000" end="00:00:24.000">and I can bring in things from my media library,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:24.000" end="00:00:27.000">or I can upload a video directly, so I&#039;m going to click on that,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:27.000" end="00:00:30.000">select a video, and that&#039;s going to upload for me.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:30.000" end="00:00:33.000">It&#039;s a good idea at this stage to add a title</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:33.000" end="00:00:36.000">and any other meta information,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:36.000" end="00:00:39.000">because that&#039;s going to appear in the RSS feed of your video.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:39.000" end="00:00:42.000">I can also decide if I&#039;d like people to not be able to share it</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:42.000" end="00:00:45.000">by embedding, or the standard, which is that people can embed it.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:45.000" end="00:00:48.000">I can set a rating—now &#34;G&#34; is the standard,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:48.000" end="00:00:51.000">but obviously if you&#039;ve got more mature content,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:51.000" end="00:00:54.000">you can change that here—</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:54.000" end="00:00:57.000">and finally, I&#039;ve got the shortcode for embedding,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:57.000" end="00:01:00.000">which I can actually copy here, should I want to email it to someone</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:00.000" end="00:01:03.000">or something else like that. I can also access that same information</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:03.000" end="00:01:06.000">by clicking on the &#34;Embed&#34; section of the video here</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:06.000" end="00:01:09.000">where I&#039;ve got the WordPress.com shortcode for other WordPress.com users,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:09.000" end="00:01:12.000">which I can copy right to my clipboard with that button.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:12.000" end="00:01:15.000">And also, the fuller embed code for people</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:15.000" end="00:01:18.000">that are using self-hosted WordPress or other web pages,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:18.000" end="00:01:21.000">so the options are open there.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:21.000" end="00:01:24.000">You&#039;ll want to use this other one for anything other than a WordPress.com blog</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:24.000" end="00:01:27.000">but it also means that you can share the video pretty much anywhere on the web.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:27.000" end="00:01:30.000">Once I&#039;m happy with all that,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:30.000" end="00:01:33.000">I just need to click on &#34;Insert Into Post&#34;</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:33.000" end="00:01:36.000">and I&#039;m now going to see a small piece of shortcode</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:36.000" end="00:01:39.000">in my post. It doesn&#039;t matter if it&#039;s the HTML or visual editor;</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:39.000" end="00:01:42.000">the result that I&#039;ll get when I publish looks like this,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:42.000" end="00:01:45.000">with a full &#34;HD On&#34; button people can turn on</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:45.000" end="00:01:48.000">to enter full HD mode,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:48.000" end="00:01:51.000">full-screen mode, so they can really take advantage</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:06.000" end="00:01:09.000">&#34;copy image address&#34; or whatever your browser or</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:09.000" end="00:01:12.000">operating system calls this feature. I then</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:12.000" end="00:01:15.000">paste in the code I&#039;ve copied here</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:15.000" end="00:01:18.000">just like this. Once that&#039;s</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:18.000" end="00:01:21.000">done I can set my currency and decide if folks can select</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:09.000" end="00:00:12.000">First, I&#039;ll think of a title,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:12.000" end="00:00:15.000">and then decide how many categories you&#039;d like to show as a maximum.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:15.000" end="00:00:18.000">Now, the least-used categories will appear smaller,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:18.000" end="00:00:21.000">and the most larger, and you can decide the percentage</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:21.000" end="00:00:24.000">of how much more than normal they&#039;ll be smaller or larger.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:24.000" end="00:00:27.000">So, if I decide that 20 percent is going to be the smallest,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:27.000" end="00:00:30.000">they&#039;re going to be really tiny, and if I bump this up to 300</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:30.000" end="00:00:33.000">the larger categories are going to be huge.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:33.000" end="00:00:36.000">If I have sub-categories, I can also decide</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:36.000" end="00:00:39.000">if I&#039;m going to include them in the parent category,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:39.000" end="00:00:42.000">to bump that size up, or have them listed individually.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:42.000" end="00:00:45.000">Now, I can see that there&#039;s extreme numbers;</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:45.000" end="00:00:48.000">I&#039;ve just made the small ones unreadable,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:48.000" end="00:00:51.000">and the larger one stretches beyond the sidebar.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:51.000" end="00:00:54.000">So let&#039;s just tweak that down a little bit; </media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:54.000" end="00:00:57.000">I&#039;m going to go for 200 for the maximum—that&#039;s two times the standard size—</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:57.000" end="00:01:00.000">and 100 for the minimum.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:00.000" end="00:01:03.000">So now you&#039;ll see it&#039;s a lot more standardized, </media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:03.000" end="00:01:06.000">but I can see that Cinema has less posts than Japanese Art, for instance,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:06.000" end="00:01:09.000">and Superflat has significantly less than Uncategorized,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:09.000" end="00:01:12.000">which has the most.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:12.000" end="00:01:15.000">So that&#039;s category clouds.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:05.000" end="00:00:07.000">and to make that even easier, we&#039;ve added</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:07.000" end="00:00:10.000">the PollDaddy Rating widget to WordPress.com.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:10.000" end="00:00:13.000">With the option to add user ratings to your posts,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:13.000" end="00:00:16.000">pages, comments, or any combination of those,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:16.000" end="00:00:19.000">the people visiting your blog can leave ratings on your content.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:19.000" end="00:00:21.000">So, how do you get set up?</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:21.000" end="00:00:23.000">When you visit your blog&#039;s Dashboard,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:23.000" end="00:00:26.000">you&#039;ll now see a new menu option called &#34;Ratings&#34;</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:26.000" end="00:00:29.000">just underneath the Comments menu and just above the Polls menu.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:29.000" end="00:00:32.000">Click on that, and you&#039;ll see some settings.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:32.000" end="00:00:35.000">Along the top here, we have three tabs:</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:35.000" end="00:00:39.000">One for posts, one for pages, and another for comments.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:39.000" end="00:00:42.000">So, let&#039;s say I&#039;m going to enable ratings on my posts.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:42.000" end="00:00:46.000">I click here on the checkbox, and the option to have them appear</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:46.000" end="00:00:50.000">above or below each post is something I can choose from.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:50.000" end="00:00:54.000">I save, and now if I want to tweak things further,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:54.000" end="00:00:57.000">I can access Advanced Settings.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:00:57.000" end="00:01:00.000">I can choose between the common five-star rating system</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:00.000" end="00:01:03.000">or the thumbs-up/thumbs-down &#34;Nero&#34; rating style.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:03.000" end="00:01:07.000">Then, I tweak—for instance—the size and color of the styles</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:07.000" end="00:01:10.000">with a preview appearing over on the right.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:10.000" end="00:01:12.000">Ditto for the Nero-style hands.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:12.000" end="00:01:14.000">If I prefer, I can even put in the URL</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:14.000" end="00:01:17.000">of a different image I prefer to use just here.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:17.000" end="00:01:20.000">Finally, I can change alignment, position, and</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:20.000" end="00:01:23.000">various other styling options</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:23.000" end="00:01:25.000">as well as being able to change the particular phrases used</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:25.000" end="00:01:29.000">to describe the ratings my users have given a post, comment, or page.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:29.000" end="00:01:32.000">So, now that I&#039;m happy with all that, I click on &#34;Save Changes&#34;.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:32.000" end="00:01:35.000">I&#039;m going to leave them off my pages, so I skip that</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:35.000" end="00:01:38.000">and add them to comments,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:38.000" end="00:01:41.000">click here again, choose whether ratings will appear,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:41.000" end="00:01:43.000">and save.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:43.000" end="00:01:46.000">So, now I&#039;m set up; let&#039;s have a look at a post.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:48.000" end="00:01:52.000">And here&#039;s some comments.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:52.000" end="00:01:55.000">So, as you can see, it&#039;s pretty easy, and adds</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:55.000" end="00:01:58.000">an extra layer of interactivity to your blog content.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:01:58.000" end="00:02:01.000">Once I have some results, I can head to the</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:01.000" end="00:02:03.000">second menu option, which will show me</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:03.000" end="00:02:05.000">the ongoing results of people&#039;s voting.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:05.000" end="00:02:08.000">I can view ratings for posts, pages, or comments</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:08.000" end="00:02:11.000">clicking on View Report, and also filter</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:11.000" end="00:02:14.000">by the period of time I want to check ratings for.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:14.000" end="00:02:17.000">In this way, I can get a quick idea of what&#039;s been most popular</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:17.000" end="00:02:20.000">this week, or across the entire life of my blog,</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:20.000" end="00:02:23.000">which might in turn affect the decisions I make</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:23.000" end="00:02:26.000">with my future content.</media:text>

			<media:text type="plain" lang="en" start="00:02:26.000" end="00:02:29.000">So that&#039;s the PollDaddy Ratings widget for WordPress.com,</media:text>
