January 29, 2017 — Τι είναι ροή εργασίας; Γιατί χρησιμοποιούν τόσοι λίγοι μια αυτοματοποιημένη ροή εργασίας; Πώς μπορείτε να δημιουργήσετε μια αποτελεσματική ροή εργασίας; Πως μπορεί μια αυτοματοποίηση να μας βοηθήσει έτσι ώστε να εξοικονομήσουμε χρόνο; Τι εργαλεία θα πρέπει να χρησιμοποιείτε; Πώς όλα αυτά συνδέονται μεταξύ τους;

Η ανάπτυξη ιστοσελίδων στο frontend και στο backend αλλάζει με γρήγορους ρυθμούς. Εξίσου γρήγορα εμφανίζονται νέα εργαλεία και προτεινόμενες ροές εργασίας. Ενώ υποτίθεται ότι τα εργαλεία αυτά θα κάνουν την ζωή μας ως Developer ευκολότερη, βρισκόμαστε είτε ανάμεσα σε τόνους τεκμηρίωσης είτε έχουμε παρατήσει την απόπειρα και έχουμε επιστρέψει στην συνηθισμένη ροή εργασίας μας.

Μέσα από αυτή την παρουσίαση θα προσπαθήσω να δούμε κάποια από αυτά τα εργαλεία και να σας παρουσιάσω το δικό μου απλοποιημένο Frontent Workflow.

Τι προβλήματα ανακύπτουν, όμως, όταν το μέγεθος του e-shop αυξάνεται κατά ολόκληρες τάξεις μεγέθους; Πόσο εύκολο είναι, σε τέτοια μεγέθη, να γίνουν εργασίες που ειδάλλως είναι τετριμμένες (μαζική ενημέρωση καταλόγου, επικοινωνία με τρίτα συστήματα); Εν τέλει υπάρχουν λύσεις; Θα καταφέρει ένας developer να σταθεί στο ύψος των περιστάσεων, ή θα πέσει ηρωικά;

January 26, 2017 — “What is your wish for WP in 2017?” That was one of the questions the VINUBIS crew and I asked to our interviewees at WordCamp US.

From “more REST API” and “better user experience”, to “improved theme or plugin repositories,” we got a little bit of all! Just watch all our WCUS interviews on the VINUBIS Video Editor Youtube channel.

A few interesting conversations arose around the growth of the Asian WordPress community. Some of the main representatives of this community were present at WCUS and they shared with us their hopes for a “WordCamp Asia.” Probably not in 2017, but hopefully in 2018, as they all explain in this video.
