February 27, 2024 — The maturation of the block editor brought with it a major shift in how WordPress theme development was expected to work. For many independent developers and small agencies, this shift seemed like an huge disruption to their workflow – a once-reliable codebase now in flux, entirely new coding languages and tooling to learn, and layers of complexity added to tools (like hooks and queries) that used to be simple and accessible.

The questions seem overwhelming: How do we build something modern for our clients while ensuring its stability and reliability in the years to come? How do we find the time to learn all these new tools while continuing to produce quality work (and support ourselves or our team in the process)? Can’t I just keep doing it the way I was doing it?

Through my own experience as a full-time independent developer – building and supporting real projects with classic WordPress, the block editor, “hybrid” themes, and Full Site Editing as these features were introduced – I will share what I have learned about navigating the triumphs and pitfalls of modern WordPress theme development, and how to confidently decide which tools and features make sense for your projects.

Many introverts have been told at some point in their career to “be more extroverted”, as though introversion is bad — but it’s not, and being an extrovert is certainly not required for success – even as a leader!

Ever wondered how the dopamine pathways in your brain affect how and when you’re able to focus? Probably not, but science can tell us a lot about how our brains work and we can learn to leverage that information to help us be the best leaders we can be.

Aaron will take both a scientific and experiential look at introversion and extroversion, how they differ, how to tell where on the scale you are, and how to employ this better understanding of how your brain works as an introvert to be a great leader. He’ll walk through his own journey of learning to leverage the strengths of his introversion and share what he does to help him navigate the parts of life and his career that are harder for him as an introvert.

Nous verrons comment identifier les couleurs principales de ton logo pour créer une harmonie visuelle sur ton site. Pour cela, Adobe Color sera notre outil de choix.

2️⃣ Préparation du prompt pour une palette personnalisée
Ensemble, nous préparerons un prompt, en incluant les couleurs extraites, pour générer une palette qui s’harmonise avec les blocs FSE de ton thème WordPress.

3️⃣ Interagir avec ChatGPT pour obtenir le code
Je t’expliquerai comment dialoguer avec ChatGPT pour recevoir le code adapté à intégrer directement dans ton site.

4️⃣ Intégration du code dans theme.json
Je te guiderai pour ajouter le code dans le fichier theme.json, une étape cruciale pour appliquer ta nouvelle palette de couleurs à ton thème.

5️⃣ Demande à ChatGPT pour une palette de couleurs pour le bloc paragraphe
Pour conclure, nous demanderons à ChatGPT de nous fournir une palette spécifique pour le bloc paragraphe, pour une cohérence visuelle complète.

February 26, 2024 — 私達が制作しているプラグインは、この1年間で多くのCMSとは全く関係ないBtoBのユーザーから支持され、大企業から個人の方まで、実に様々なお客様とお付き合いするきっかけになりました。

ポイントは、WordPressがワンクリックで誰でサーバーにソフトウェアをインストールできる、世界で唯一の機能を持っていること。

この観点でサーバーソフトウェアを作ることができれば、日本のみならず、世界で勝負できる全く新しい分野を開拓できるかも知れません。

私達のソフトウェアは、アクセス解析だったり、データのバックアップを取得するソフトウェアです。通常、このようなソフトウェアはSaaSで提供されることがほとんどです。

しかし、WordPressを使えば、お客様自身で安価にメンテナンスできる独自システムを作ることができ、それは現在のプライバシー保護や生成AIの流れにもマッチします。

本セッションでは、このあたりの考え方や、実際にお客様から褒められたことをご紹介し、日本の開発者ならではの可能性を切り拓くきっかけになればと思っています。

GA4 や Google サーチコンソールを知っている方は増えましたが、Microsoft Clarity はご存知ですか？
無料で使える「ユーザー行動分析ツール」で、大きな2つの特徴があります。

①視覚的にわかりやすいヒートマップ
「このページに来た人はどこまで読んだり、どこをクリックしているのか」がわかるヒートマップがあり、概要をAI（Copilot）がまとめてくれます。

②ユーザー行動を追体験できるレコーディング機能
「このページを経由している人はどんな動きをしているのか」が動画でわかるレコーディング機能があります。この動きもAI（Copilot）がまとめてくれます。

セッションでは、この Microsoft Clarity を使ったページの改善について、ライブ解析を交えてご紹介します。
用語は見慣れないかもしれませんが、やっていることは初心者でもできる施策の検証です。
