December 18, 2023 — A ottobre 2023 è stata pubblicata la versione 2.2 delle Linee Guida per l’Accessibilità dei Contenuti Web (WCAG), a più di cinque anni dall’ultimo aggiornamento.
Pur non essendo ancora obbligatorio rispettare queste indicazioni per essere conformi alla normativa italiana ed europea, la nuova versione diventerà con ogni probabilità la futura base di valutazione dei siti web.
Le Linee Guida nascono però con l’obiettivo di migliorare l’esperienza di navigazione in Internet da parte delle persone con disabilità ed è ai loro bisogni che bisogna guardare: implementare queste linee guida al più presto può quindi migliorare fin da subito l’esperienza utente per alcuni specifici gruppi di utenti con disabilità.
Durante la presentazione, vedremo le novità della versione 2.2 rispetto alle versioni 2.0 e 2.1, scopriremo i gruppi di persone con disabilità maggiormente impattati dalla nuova versione ed entreremo nel dettaglio dei nuovi criteri di conformità.

Il talk non è incentrato su questo specifico plugin ma quest’ultimo viene preso solo come riferimento per fare una riflessione su sistemi come questo e perché potrebbero prendere molto piede nel mondo di WordPress.
