January 5, 2016 — My presentation will focus on sharing practical tips and advice based on my experiences in becoming a core contributor. While there will be some technical aspects of how to contribute, my intention is to share what I have learned along the road to getting my first props and to provide practical, real-world advice on how to get into core contribution. My audience would be developers of any level who want to start contributing to core.
December 8, 2015 — WordPress communitiet har gennem de seneste år gjort meget for, at vi kan følge med i hvad der sker. Bare sidste år valgte de at gå fra IRC til Slack – noget som fik antal deltagere til disse Core møder til at stige drastisk.
Make WordPress bloggene har i stor grad hjulpen til at man kan holde sig i loopet. Særligt core bloggen giver et godt indblik i, hvad der sker i core og hvad vi kan forvente.
Er du ikke opdateret på de problemer WordPress har haft med shortcodes, eller ved hvad “the taxonomy roadmap” går ud på, så er dette en præsentation om, hvad der er sket i WordPress core, og hvad vi kan forvente i fremtiden.

I will even be diving into Vagrant and show how to set up a development environment and create a patch. This talk will take some of the ambiguity out of contributing to Core and focus mainly on teaching how to do the little things that lead to bigger impacts.
October 8, 2015 — Both a retrospective and look into the future: We’ll walk through the last year in WordPress core — what’s changed, how some of these changes have been received, and a peek into what’s likely for 4.4, due in early December.

They have over 1500 commits to WordPress Core between them, and share big media and big blogging experience from their work at the New York Times and WordPress.com.
