August 3, 2015 — I recently replaced a proprietary SaaS CMS for the largest school district in the state (Newark, NJ). We launched our 70+ schools sites on Aug 29, 2014 on top of WordPress. Our district site is 30,000 pages and 300,000+ media assets. In the end, we cut our annual web site management budget in half and have beautiful new web sites powered by WordPress that ease the pain points our content owners, administrators and technology coordinators have when managing their school websites. This presentation covers how this was achieved using WordPress, how it has solved many of the problems we were facing with our vendor-controlled proprietary system, and how we have embraced the concept of WordPress as an Application Framework, allowing us to create all kinds of sites, applications, and mobile apps directly from WordPress.

July 9, 2015 — I’m not the best developer. I’m not the best designer. But with WordPress, I, and you, can be anything. WordPress enabled me in less than 3 days to build a fully operational SaaS and solve a problem that pained many. With the introduction of the WordPress JSON API and plugin-specific APIs, there is no limit to what WordPress is capable of. You need only dream, and built it.

June 15, 2015 — Avec l’émergence des modèles Cloud et plus particulièrement celui du modèle SAAS (software as a services) les modes de production
ont évolué permettant à l’utilisateur client de ne payer uniquement ce qu’il a consommé.

WordPress n’étant plus exclusivement utilisé pour la création et la gestion de contenus de
sites internet (on retrouve sur le marché des solutions d’Outil de ticketing, de gestion Immobilière, Panel de gestion de serveurs par exemple), les professionnels du numériques doivent pivoter pour certaines de leurs offres vers ce standard SAAS.

Nous verrons au travers de cet atelier ce qui signifie « osez le saas » pour une agence, une ssi ou un développeur freelance utilisant WordPress.

Nous effectuerons un tour d’horizon des outils disponibles sur le marché permettant de pivoter vers ce schéma de production.

Puis nous verrons comment concevoir son offre, son infrastructure serveur et ainsi comment gérer sa production autours de notre produit Mill.
