January 22, 2019 — This is an advanced PHP talk. Having worked with and extended several high use and highly customized WooCommerce sites, we will go over a core method for approaching large features being added to the shop. From complex gateways to intricate edge cases of user roles and currency management, there needs to be method to the madness. The session will include a fundamental approach as well as coding examples of handling advanced WooCommerce functionality.

January 14, 2019 — Een klant die vroegtijdig je website verlaat is jammer, maar gebruikelijk. Een klant die de website verlaat, tijdens de laatste stap van het checkout process, is zeer frustrerend. Toch gebeurt dit vaak als klanten niet eenvoudig een bestelling kunnen doen. Het standaard checkout process van WooCommerce kan irritant zijn voor klanten, wanneer zij onbewust nogmaals een nieuw account proberen aan te maken. Dit gebeurt bijvoorbeeld als bestaande klanten de website niet meer herkennen. Een melding dat het account reeds bestaat kan afleidend en storend zijn voor de conversie op de checkout pagina! Voor een van mijn klanten heb ik een betere oplossing voor het login/registratie proces ontwikkeld. Deze zal ik tijdens mijn presentatie bespreken. Het proces is gebaseerd op de functionaliteit, zoals deze wordt gebruikt in grote shops (zoals Coolblue en Bol.com). De kans is groot dat deze oplossing ook voor jouw webshop gunstig is.
