My favorite talk at WordCamp Europe in Basel. Gives a good overview absolut the importance of sustainability, and shows a lot of tools, how to rate Your own sites.

Charlotte was tanke Head at the topic „Sustainability“ on Contributers day before her talk. There she collected signatures to reinstall the „Sustainability Team“ again, and to reopen the „Sustainability Slack Channel“.

Charlotta handed over the long collection of signatures to Mary Hubbard before the Fireside Talk with Matt Mullenweg.

I hope, that Mary and Matt support this initiative: to reopen a Slack Channel shouldn’t be complicated.

Sustainability is a very importance topic: we should save our planet. ROI isn’t important at every topic. But to save energy will count in the long run.
Charlotte will be an enthusiastic and optimal Teamlead.

Being more conscious in designing and maintaining your website in sustainable way is one of the easiest things you can do to reduce your digital environmental impact. I will talk about green hosting, tooling to estimate the CO2 emissions of your website, and what easy changes to make in your webdesign & content creation habits to make your website more eco-friendly.
