February 10, 2020 — At the end of 2000, I first became acquainted with the internet and I had no idea back then that a mother of 5 and grandmother of 1 could have built a successful life that literally saved my own.

For the last fifteen years, I’m proud to say that WordPress, and it’s thriving community, has been a large part of my life. I’ve enjoyed making friends, attending WordCamps, and being part of Make WordPress.

The Internet has been a place where we share our joy. But what happens when life is interrupted? There are many things that will interrupt your life. Death. Divorce. Illness.

I’ve experienced all three. In this talk, I’ll share some of vital the lessons I’ve learned from being a part of such helpful and friendly community. Please join me during this session to not only hear my story, that many of us have experienced, but also for practical advice.

February 10, 2020 — If you are a theme, plugin or core developer/designer you need to test your work for accessibility errors, but how to do this and what are the guidelines to follow?
In this talk I will give you an overview of useful test tools, how to use them and how to integrate testing your development workflow.
Also, I will give you tips on additional testing that can’t be automated, like using and testing your work with only your keyboard.

February 4, 2020 — En este taller te voy a enseñar como hacer unas fotografias para una pagina web, ya sea para una entrada de una publicación, un producto o tu foto de perfil para la pagina de quien soy.

Paso a paso veremos como aprovechar la luz que hay, como mejorarla con poco dinero, dispararemos las fotos, las retocaremos y optimizaremos para subir a la pagina.

En la parte de producto, veremos cuantas y como hacer estas fotos para ilustrar a la perfección y nos ayude a vender.

Ya verás que con muy pocos recursos y optimizando estas fotografias conseguiras quitar dudas a tus potenciales clientes, optimizar la web y posicionarte un poco mas en SEO.

January 30, 2020 — Un nuevo formato que vamos a establecer este año es el de debates ordenados en los que pongamos un tema sobre la mesa y unos puntos mínimos a debatir y reflexionemos entre todos sobre eso.

El formato es similar a lo que hicimos en la WorCamp Sevilla 2020: una mínima presentación del tema de cinco minutos en Youtube y nos vamos a una sala de videoconferencia y a hablar sobre eso e intentar conducirlo para que se saquen conclusiones buenas.

En esta primera meetup del año el tema es “El soporte en WordPress”:

¿Cuál es la mejor forma en establecer las normas de soporte?
¿En qué forma comunicar con los usuarios de forma entendible?”
¿Cómo lidia sicológicamente un técnico de soporte con que le pregunten lo mismo una y otra vez sin entrar en cólera?
… cualquier otro tema relacionado.
¡Vamos a pensar juntos e intentar solucionar el mundo!
