In my talk, I’ll share about my 10 years of contribution journey, doing volunteering contribution to full time sponsored contributor, benefits that I’m getting and more. I’ll also encourage WordPress to contribute to the WordPress project and also that information about five for the future and why it is necessary.

July 29, 2021 — The themes team wants theme authors to participate and provide their feedback in this new guideline. As this guideline will be directly related with theme authors and we want to know how they will take it.

Also, this will give an opportunity to the theme author to get involved in making new guidelines based on their ideas as well.

August 22, 2019 — Mr. Kafle is the Co-Founder and theme review team lead at one of the fast-growing WordPress themes marketplace – Template Sell based in Nepal.

In addition, he works for WPEntire and leads the theme review team. Besides this, he volunteers as a theme review moderator in the WordPress Theme Review team. He has contributed to the WordPress community as WordCamp speaker, organizer, volunteer, documentation, core contributors, translation team, theme/plugins developer.

He loves spending time with friends, families, reading blogs, traveling and listening to music.

While not working, he loves to travel around and explore new things. Additionally, he engages himself in different social service projects in Nepal as a member of Lions Club International.

July 12, 2019 — Mr. Kafle will share about the required and recommended things of WordPress.org theme repository. He will cover, what are the things we need to consider while developing WP Themes and how can we start reviewing theme as a part of a contribution.

September 27, 2017 — In his session, Ganga will be sharing his knowledge on how to make themes that can be approved on WordPress.org Theme Repository. By learning the best practices of WordPress theme development, you can become more confident in building your own themes.

Many of submitted themes are closed due to the deviation from the WordPress.org standards. As one of theme reviewers, he will talk about his theme review experience and encourage theme developers to submit themes to the official repository. He will also explain how the theme review process works: role and responsibility of authors and reviewers, admin queue, new queue, closed tickets, tickets under review, and more.
