April 16, 2019 — An introductory talk for people who are newer to WordPress and making websites in it. I will be going over how to use the dashboard to create a new website.
Topics covered will include how to create posts, pages, menus and how they correspond to the content displayed on your site. How to create galleries, and search for themes and plugins.
I will also talk about how to use Yoast and add a contact form to your site.
April 11, 2019 — This talk is a hands-on workshop aimed towards new WordPress users. Kayleigh will walk you through the first time you login to WordPress, where to find popular features in the dashboard, and how to find some more hidden settings.
She’ll also cover how to install your first couple of plugins and include some tips on how to find good and useful plugins.
April 7, 2019 — In this talk I will be showing the various features of the Jetpack plugin, from its built in analytics, to form and portfolio building, and how you can use the Jetpack plugin to improve your site’s visibility. I will use real examples from my own site to show how much you can do with this one plugin.

I will talk about how I use WordPress for handling images, what tools I use and offering some general advice on how you can manage the slowdown that typically comes with hosting an image heavy site.
