March 25, 2019 — In May 2019, Marcel Bootsman will walk to Berlin from his hometown Berkel en Rodenrijs, to raise funds for DonateWC and support the WordPress community.
DonateWC is an initiative that aims to provide people with lesser financial means with funds to get to a (big) WordCamp. From donations that they collect, they’ll provide deserving community members with a WordCamp ticket, door to door transportation, accommodation, food and drink money, internet access and a once-in-a-lifetime experience
