We’ve spent almost a decade perfecting the art of adding settings to WordPress, in hopes of improving the user experience. Instead, we’ve destroyed it. I talk about how we can make decisions for users, shape the settings experience based on a user’s environment and specific needs, along with looking at how low-level AI (artificial intelligence) can be used to reimagine the entire settings experience in not just WordPress, but all software (and maybe even the world).
