As we speak WordPress is going through one of the biggest technological revolutions in its existence. The editing screen is being replaced by a brand new JavaScript-based editor. The project to make this all happen is named Gutenberg, after Johannes Gutenberg; the inventor of the printing press. This tells you something about the ambitions behind this project.

In this talk I’ll give a demo of the new editor, explain what’s about to change and reflect on the opportunities and risks this entails.
