In the workshop, we will walk through the features of WordPress Plugins with the Akismet plugin as an example. We’ll also cover how to find and install a new plugin through the dashboard, how to evaluate a new plugin for use on your site, how to provide feedback and how to get help with a plugin through the WordPress.org support forums.

December 15, 2020 — This workshop is for people from marginalized or underrepresented groups who are thinking about speaking at online WordPress events. You do not need to have any experience in public speaking, and this workshop is for all levels of experience.

We talk a lot about writing your talk as a story, but how do you do that? Is it possible for a tech topic? We will cover some story-telling structures that work well for tech.
