June 5, 2026 — WordPress 7.0 is not yet another WordPress release. It might be the most significant release in a while. It comes with features we couldn’t even imagine a couple of years ago. It’s changing how we use WordPress and how we develop on top of and with WordPress. It’s changing everything. Join a group of contributors who helped with this release in various ways to discuss not just new features in the software itself, but also the process of releasing such an impactful software, human errors, contribution workflows, and anything you wish to know about WordPress 7.0.

December 9, 2023 — Gutenberg has revolutionised WordPress theme development, paving the way for a future where creating themes requires minimal to zero coding. This talk will cover creating and editing block themes within the editor, using the design tools available in Gutenberg in combination with the Create Block Theme plugin. It will describe the features of both tools, showcasing the practical ways to leverage Gutenberg’s block library, layout options, customisation tools, and advanced features provided by the Create Block Theme plugin.

September 13, 2022 — Moderated by @greenshady, the walk-through began with a planned feature review by @matveb that included the TT3 default theme, a refined template experience, fluid typography, and locking tools, amongst other features. Following the demos, the participating release squad members @davidbaumwald, @jeffpaul, @ndiego, @richtabor, @mikachan, and @desrosj spoke about the scope of their respective team’s release work. Closing out the event, the panelists fielded questions from the 80+ live attendees.
