July 16, 2018 — The Women in WordPress panel brings together a diverse group of women from across North America for an honest discussion. Aiming to inspire encourage he WordPress community, but women in particular, the panelists will discuss their achievements, struggles, and give advice to those just starting out. They will also talk about how men can be better allies to women overall, but especially to those who are just starting out their WordPress journey, whether in development, design, marketing, or blogging.

February 25, 2018 — A frank and honest discussion with women who have been involved for different amounts of time in WordPress – ranging from development to designer to marketer.

December 19, 2017 — The struggle is real. Managing WordPress core settings as well as other settings, like Advanced Custom Fields setup, and carrying those things over to other environments without completely wiping and replacing the entire database is a major pain point.

Maybe your production environment is holding your content where your client is entering data but your dev or local environments are still being developed and settings & configurations are still changing. You do not want to push up your entire dev database to your production environment and lose all the content your client is entering. That’s where configuration management comes into play!

We will cover what configuration management is, how you can start to use it and the concepts to take it even further.

I was in your shoes just a few short months ago. I came, I coded, I conquered. Now I am breaking it all down so you too can feel confident with the basics of continuous integration and deployment.

I will cover the basics of how to setup Github and Circle CI with WordPress and configure deployment to a staging environment. We will cover continuous-jargon and break down yml and script files to better understand how it works and how you can start to use it with your projects.
