July 10, 2010 — This is an introduction by Lisa Sabin-Wilson into the use of BuddyPress on an existing WordPress-powered web site, including a comprehensive overview of its features, installation, setting up features and extended member profiles, and customizing your theme for BuddyPress by using its inherent Parent/Child theme framework. This session also gives plugin recommendations for BuddyPress and a showcase of existing installations.

November 14, 2009 — John Hawkins’ introduction to writing a plugin, with a real-world example showing how to create a plugin with an options page, shortcodes and a dashboard widget.

July 12, 2009 — Jeremy Clarke talks to users at WordCamp Montreal who know how to blog but have not yet figured out how to control the way their blog works at the theme level. He explains how the files in your theme folder work to define different kinds of content and how to identify WordPress “template tags” and move them around in your theme.
