Ab Mai 2021 wird Google bei der Bewertung von Webseiten drei Faktoren in erheblicher Weise berücksichtigen:
– Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)
– Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)
– First Input Delay (FID)

Entwickler und Autoren, die sich mit diesen Werten nicht beschäftigen, laufen Gefahr, dass ihre Seiten an Ranking verlieren.
In diesem Vortrag gibt es einen Einstieg in die Bedeutung dieser Begriffe, wie man seine eigene Seite prüfen kann und einige grundsätzliche Verbesserungsvorschläge für die eigene Seite.

November 10, 2019 — One of the major reasons behind online driven frustration is because of a slow website. One would not want to visit such a website the second time. Right?
What if this is the case with your website? Won’t those low numbers on analytics dull your day? Are you not concerned about how and when did you website fail? If a website doesn’t load quickly, the user would probably leave it immediately. And, a dissatisfied user is worse than not having users at all!

This talk mainly deals with how one can speed up their WordPress website and make it faster for users, thus improving their conversions. This talk begins with educating about website hosting, latency and DNS. Then, shall be discussing about how you can optimize the performance of your WordPress website, having solutions for all sort of users, from beginner to advanced users, and for different hosting scenario. Further, discussion will be about different performance optimization strategies like cutting down your queries, tweaking the code base, caching mechanism, use of cloud services, scaling up and so on. All this together shall help a newbie or even someone who has their website slow and frustrating for users, faster and better optimized. Thus, saving their day.

January 23, 2019 — Optimizing your WordPress is always a challenge and google is more demanding about it every day: During the session, I will go over all the details to make your theme hit 100%: 1) Loading fonts, 2) Optimizing your theme for Above-The-Fold/Below-The-Fold styles loading, 3) Loading styles asynchronously, 4) using Webpack to bundle your theme with WordPress. 5) Using SVGs and loading them like template parts (cached). 6) There are many other tricks and things to take into consideration. I will work with one initial theme and make it hit 100%. Everything will be measured to show the typical “before and after”.

July 28, 2018 — Přednáška od Martina Michálka na téma Jak vylepšit rychlost načítání WordPress šablon.
Motám se kolem CSS a návrhu rozhraní. V praxi dělám tři věci:

Za prvé zakázkový design a vývoj prezentačních webů jako frontend designér, teď třeba pro VašeČočky.cz.

Za druhé konzultace a školení pro firmy a jednotlivé webové vývojáře.

No a za třetí se považuji za tvůrce obsahu pro webaře, hlavně na blogu

May 5, 2018 — In meinem Vortrag möchte ich auf die Schwachstellen der Websites eingehen. Es geht gar nicht primär um SEO Optimierung, sondern viel mehr um eine technische & strukturelle Richtigkeit der Website. Dadurch stellt sich eine automatische eine Verbesserung der Auffindbarkeit dar. Ich hasse stumpfes SEO per Linkkauf oder nicht nachhaltigen Strategien.

Im Grunde werde ich aufzeigen was man bei dem Aufbau seiner Inhalte und Webseiten generell beachten sollte. Es geht von richtigem Aufbau der Inhalte, über Vor- Und Nachteile bestimmter Seitenstrukturen bis hin zu Ladezeit und Code Optimierung. Alles relativ kompakt am Beispiel erklärt.

Einen ähnlichen Vortrag durfte ich schon beim WP Meetup Leipzig halten. Ich freue mich daher sehr, wenn ich Soltau mit meinem Talk bereichern darf.
