    September 11, 2017 — Mahangu is an Automattician hailing from Colombo, Sri Lanka, Mahangu first found WordPress when he stumbled upon 0.70 in the dark recesses of #wordpress on Freenode. He has used and provided support for every major release of the software, and is excited about the impact the platform can have on South Asia.

    Though once a high school English teacher, his desire to make online publishing more democratic led him to Automattic, where he now works as a Happiness Engineer. He sincerely believes that stellar support will play a pivotal role in helping WordPress power the next 27% of the web!

    Mahangu is an experienced speaker, and has spoken at several WordCamps, including WordCamp Pune 2015, WordCamp Mumbai 2016, WordCamp Singapore 2016, and WordCamp Kathmandu 2016.

She was also a speaker to DebConf16, the official Debian conference in 2016 held in Cape Town, South Africa.

    This talk is especially meant for Front End Developers and Content Creators who are looking to expand their user base into South Asia and other emerging economies and will be in a beginner level.

    In his talk, he will talk about the various developer tools that he uses, to increase productivity as a WordPress developer. Through his session, he will explain in detail about what worked for him, as a WordPress developer, and and what did not. He will also be giving an introduction to these development tools, through his session.

    Od tamtej pory zmieniło się właściwie wszystko. W trakcie prelekcji Maciek opowie o tym jak zbudował stabilną firmę opartą w 100% na WordPressie, której 100% przychodów pochodzi ze sprzedaży wtyczek. Ale nie będzie to autopromocja. Wręcz przeciwnie. Dowiemy się, jak stworzyć biznes od zera bez budżetu marketingowego, jak zbudować zespół i zacząć zarabiać. Maciek opowie o tym, co się w WP Desku sprawdziło i gdzie popełniono największe błędy. Wisienką na torcie będzie opowieść o wyjściu poza granice Polski, z którym związane były ogromne nadzieje, a na razie okazało się to największym wyzwaniem.
