August 4, 2017 — По умолчанию, WordPress не ограничивает разрешение загружаемых изображений, поэтому, со временем, может накопиться множество изображений огромного размера, которые занимают место на хостинге и затрудняют взаимодействие пользователей с сайтом или вовсе не используются.

Для улучшения ситуации, установим плагин Imsanity. Он позволяет ограничить разрешение загружаемых изображений, настроить степень jpg-сжатия, а также уменьшить ранее загруженные на сайт изображения.
