July 6, 2020 — So you want to be in control of your own destiny? You want to call the shots and be independent? So did I. And I am now-keyword ‘now.’
Success doesn’t happen overnight. It takes initiative, learning, perseverance, awareness, humility, risk and, most importantly, confidence.
This 20-minute, maybe 15-minute talk to give ample time for questions, is designed to expose you to the real world of WordPress design, development and marketing. I wish I heard this talk when I embarked on my new endeavor. In 20 minutes, I am going to tell you everything you need to know and do to succeed in this line of work. How can I do that in 20 minutes, you ask? Simple. I’m going to give you keys. You find the doors and it’s up to you to unlock those doors.

Questo mese vediamo assieme alcune buone pratiche per poter mettere in piedi in pochi minuti un ambiente di lavoro, dai suggerimenti per i meno smanettoni a quelli un po’ più dev (hai presente quei temi che ti suggeriscono alcuni plugin da installare non appena gli attivi evitandoti di andare a cercarli? Anche il tuo Child Theme può farlo, ed è più semplice di quanto immagini).

July 4, 2020 — The WordPress community is wonderfully contagious but the honeymoon is over. We’ve hit the point where now more than ever, real-life interaction is needed. We can’t hide behind our keyboards anymore.
My session will provide examples and how-tos on building community in real life. We will go into social media platforms and how it’s a start, but then we’ll dive deeper into IRL engagement; What does this look like? How can one start?
This talk will also go into the importance of community, and how intentionally building community will directly affect the social trajectory of our neighborhoods all the way up to our nation and even the world.

July 4, 2020 — ‘Časťou mojej práce je sledovať zmeny v SEO, čo v praxi znamená tráviť 2-3 hodiny denne na Twitteri a čítaním článkov. Potom riešime, či tie zmeny ovplyvnia užívateľov nášho SEO pluginu, či musíme niečo doprogramovať alebo zmeniť. Úprimne? Tých informácií je strašne moc a väčšina je šum. Občas mi to príde ako zámer, aby SEO experti mohli hovoriť aké je to všetko zložité. Google to vyhovuje, lebo môžu v tom hluku prepašovať desiatky malých zmien, ktoré slúžia im a nie tak úplne vlastníkom webov.
