To do this we’ll explore by comparison examples of ‘fixes’ that we can apply to our designs, to better communicate, such as: alignment, color and content hierarchy.

While clients who break their own sites are guaranteed revenue, those calls never come at a convenient time and are ALWAYS urgent.

So what can we do to both empower our clients and make sure their sites continue to run well?

How to set user permissions
How to set pricing for fixing mistakes

Other tips for managing the client relationship

Genesis ofrece un entorno de trabajo basado en ganchos (acciones y filtros, como WordPress) que sirve como base común para todos los temas hijo. De esta manera, puedes modificarlos de forma sencilla y reutilizar snippets de código entre distintos proyectos.

La idea de la charla es acercar el funcionamiento técnico de Genesis Framework y cómo el uso de su sistema de «action hooks» y filtros te puede ahorrar unas horas preciosas.

Concretamente, entenderás cómo están distribuidos los ganchos de Genesis Framework y veras ejemplos prácticos de modificaciones que se pueden conseguir con sencillos snippets de código.

October 3, 2019 — How can we ensure that we adapt the same standards of fairness, openness and inclusion at the heart of the WordPress community into our day-to-day web development projects?

How can we not only support but be champions of the open-source ethos of WordPress to clients and stakeholders?

Has the nature of building web applications evolved so much that we must now consider the possibility of an ethical and moral code by which we scope for and build web applications, particularly for WordPress sites?

I will attempt to (briefly) answer some of these questions, give my own thoughts on this and highlight some of the possible things that we need to consider beyond web performance, UX/UI, loading times and code quality.

No matter what the project is, we have certain moral and ethical issues around equality, fairness and inclusion that need to be considered more so now than ever before.
