    WordCamp Lisboa 2025Speaker: Nemanja Cimbaljevic

May 19, 2025 — In the realm of task scheduling within WordPress and broader system environments, selecting the appropriate scheduler can significantly impact performance, reliability, and scalability. This talk will provide an in-depth comparative analysis of three popular scheduling mechanisms: crond, wp-cron, and Action Scheduler. By understanding the strengths and limitations of each, developers and system administrators can make better decisions tailored to their specific needs. First part of the talk will start with brief introduction to task scheduling, followed by anatomy of crond, offering a exploration of crond as a Unix-based task scheduler, its advantages for server-level task automation, and its limitations in the context of WordPress-specific tasks. • Building Business Trust with Forensic Security to Protect Your WordPress Site Favorite session Build

    WordCamp Nepal 2025Speaker: Milan Khanal

May 13, 2025 — In today’s digital age, business trust is crucial for sustained growth and customer loyalty. As a WordPress site owner, protecting your website from cyber threats isn’t just about securing data; it’s about preserving your brand reputation, maintaining customer trust, and ensuring business continuity. This is where forensic security comes in as a powerful tool to not only defend against cyberattacks but also to create a foundation of trust with your customers.

Forensic security involves proactive measures, advanced threat detection, and post-incident analysis that allows businesses to identify, investigate, and mitigate security breaches in real time. By implementing forensic security on your WordPress site, you ensure that any malicious activities, whether they are data breaches, hacking attempts, or malware attacks, are quickly detected and addressed, minimizing damage and downtime.

Why is this important for business? When your WordPress site is protected by forensic security, customers feel more confident in interacting with your business. They know that their personal data is safeguarded, transactions are secure, and their experience is not compromised by hidden vulnerabilities. This level of trust is not only essential for maintaining your current customer base but also for attracting new leads who prioritize security in their purchasing decisions.

Moreover, forensic security can help restore business operations quickly after an incident, reducing potential losses caused by breaches or downtime. By ensuring that your WordPress site is protected at every level, from login attempts to file integrity monitoring, forensic security enables you to recover from security events faster, minimizing their impact on your bottom line.
