May 5, 2018 — What could be the benefit of being part of the WordPress Community if you don’t even use WordPress? How far can you get if you decide to step out of your comfort-zone and overcome your fears?

My husband dragged me kicking and screaming to my first WordCamp. I did not even know what WordPress was up to that point and I was scared of meeting the “nerdy” part of my husband’s life probably due to not being able to get involved.

The story I want to share is about how things evolved afterward, as I visited several WordCamps as a passionate volunteer to the point of getting a true WordPress Community-Junkie. It is about how I became a WordCamp organizer, speaker and emcee in almost no time. It is about how I found new enjoyable professional challenges.

It is the story about how I have been changing my life completely in only one year, because I dared to step out of my comfort-zone.

September 30, 2017 — Quand on commence sur WordPress, on peut penser parfois qu’on a pas le niveau nécessaire. Et encore plus quand on est une femme, ou qu’on a peu de connaissance technique. Qui ne s’est pas senti intimidé au point de ne pas oser se lancer dans des métiers du web, sur WordPress ni aller à un WordCamp ?
Syndrome de l’imposteur, ou plafond de verre, de nombreux freins invisibles nous empêchent parfois de faire ce que l’on souhaite réellement.

Comment trouver sa place dans la communauté WordPress, par où commencer ? A travers mon histoire personnelle et ce que j’ai observé depuis 3 ans, je souhaite partager mon expérience, mes conseils et aider à se lancer toutes celles et ceux qui n’osent pas le faire.

September 24, 2017 — ランチを食べながら、もうちょっとWordPress のことを深く知ってみませんか？
WordPress って、そもそも誰が作ったの？どういう風に更新されてるの？テーマやプラグインは誰が作ってるの？WordCampってどういう人が何のために開催しているの？
WordCampの2日目にはコントリビューターデイがありますが、コントリビューターって何？
そんなことを各方面で活躍する皆さまとお話するパネルディスカッションです。
また、はじめてさんでもできる「WordPress を使い始めたら 感謝を伝えよう」のミニセッションもあります。

September 22, 2017 — 専門学校を卒業後、地元のWeb制作会社でWebデザイナー/エンジニアとして9年ほど働いていました。しかしWordPressコミュニティに関わるようになったことをきっかけに、2014年末、子持ち、金なし、仕事なしの状態でしたが、急遽フリーランスとして独立することを決めました。

このセッションでは、僕がどのようにWordPressやWordPressコミュニティと関わるようになり、どのような刺激をうけ、どのような心境の変化があったのかをお話したいと思います。

September 5, 2017 — W trakcie prezentacji Magdalena i Jakub opowiedzą o tym, czym jest i jak pracuje społeczność WordPressa. Zastanowimy się wspólnie, jak można włączyć się w jej działania i ulepszać nasz ukochany system albo jak kto woli, zdobyć więcej odznak do profilu na wordpress.org 🙂

Będzie kilka słów o zgłaszaniu poprawek do jądra systemu, pracach nad interfejsem, poprawianiu dostępności i użyteczności, pracy tłumaczy i pomocy, a także o recenzowaniu motywów i tworzeniu dokumentacji.

Oczywiście, nie obędzie się bez podsumowania tegorocznego Contributor Day, czyli pierwszego dnia naszej konferencji.
