He worked as Director of Engineering at a major publisher in the United States and has now settled in at Automattic, building the next generation of Jetpack and VaultPress. He talked about how theme and plugin authors can leverage the power of Jetpack and the WordPress.com API to make custom analytics views, do exciting things with Related Posts, create custom image galleries, and more.
