Then we will introduce the WordPress REST API and look at how to use it in both WordPress themes and stand alone JavaScript applications. Come get a foundation level understanding of this important topic of JavaScript and API driven WordPress development.
Some experience with jQuery or JavaScript is encouraged.

August 9, 2018 — Für Google steht immer mehr der Mensch im Mittelpunkt. Die User beeinflussen erheblich, WIE die Suche durchgeführt wird und welche Geräte und Technologien dafür entwickelt werden, WAS sie von Google zurückbekommen, und IN WELCHER Reihenfolge die Ergebnisse gelistet werden.
WIE: Das Suchverhalten ändert sich ständig und rasant, von ausformulierten Fragen (remember Ask Jeeves?), hin zu 1-Wort Keywords, und zurück über Mehr-Wort-Keywords bis zu den ausformulierten Fragen der Spracheingabe. Geräte und Dienste wie Google Home, Alexa und Siri beeinflussen stark, wie wir mit Suchmaschinen kommunizieren, aber wir beeinflussen noch stärker, welche Geräte und Technologien entwickelt werden.
WAS: Die Suchergebnisse werden individueller. Nicht jeder User sieht für jede Suchanfrage 10 organische Ergebnisse mit ein paar AdWords Anzeigen darüber oder darunter. Je nach Gerät, Search History, Standort, etc. bekommt man unterschiedliche Ergebnisse geliefert, von direkten Antworten bis zu längeren Listen. Für uns ist wichtig zu verstehen, welche Möglichkeiten auf Sichtbarkeit wir überhaupt noch haben.
IN WELCHER Reihenfolge: Google setzt verstärkt AI (Artificial Intelligence) ein um User-Intention und -Verhalten zu messen und als Ranking-Faktoren in die Reihung der Ergebnisse einfließen zu lassen. Eine gute Nachricht für Website-Betreiber: wir können den User wieder in den Mittelpunkt stellen und uns ganz auf die Qualität der Inhalte sowie die Nutzerfreundlichkeit konzentrieren.
